Ahoy, Shipmates! Set Sail for Gratitude & Reflections at the Navy Yacht Club Everett's Thanksgiving Feast!

Mark your calendars, shipmates! It's time to gather for a heartwarming Thanksgiving celebration with the Navy Yacht Club Everett on Thursday, November 21st at the Columbus Club. This ain't your typical landlubber gathering – it's a Gratitude & Reflections Extravaganza filled with delicious food, valuable winterization tips, and the chance to connect with your nautical community.

Here's a glimpse of the treasures that await:

Thanksgiving Feast: Savor a mouthwatering Thanksgiving spread overflowing with all the traditional trimmings. From succulent turkey and savory stuffing to creamy mashed potatoes and sweet pumpkin pie, it's a taste of holiday cheer that will warm your hearts and bellies.  The club will provide turkey and ham as main dishes. We ask our members to bring accompanying sides and desserts to round out our Thanksgiving feast. To ensure a variety of sides and desserts, we’re asking members to contribute based on the first letter of your last name:

  • A–G: Hot Side Dish
(Examples: stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, or other warm favorites.)

  • H–N: Cold Side Dish
(Examples: cranberry sauce, salads, relishes, or other chilled appetizers and sides.)

  • O–Z: Dessert
(Examples: pumpkin pie, apple pie, cookies, cakes, or other sweet treats.)

Of course, if you have a specialty or preference that doesn’t fit into your assigned category, feel free to bring what you love most! We want everyone to enjoy the feast, so let us know if you need help accommodating dietary restrictions or have a unique dish to share.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Reflections on Cruising in 2024: We’ll share highlights, lessons, and stories from this year’s adventures.
  • Winter Maintenance Tips: Get ready for an interactive Q&A session on preparing your boat for winter. Come with your questions, and we’ll share practical tips to keep your vessel in top shape during the off-season.
  • Looking Ahead to 2025: A sneak peek into plans for next year, with opportunities for member input.

This is our last hybrid meeting of the year, so let’s make it a memorable one! December and January gatherings will be in-person only.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the Columbus Club or online. Let’s share gratitude, laughter, and some fantastic food as we wrap up a wonderful year together.

See you there, shipmates!
