⚓ Veterans Day Cruise to Kingston — Drive-Ins Welcome!

Join Navy Yacht Club Everett for a weekend of camaraderie, good food, and waterfront fun as we celebrate Veterans Day in charming Kingston!

Whether you're arriving by boat, ferry, or car, you're invited to join the festivities. Commodore Richard Servance, with Anne aboard Blue Heaven, will serve as Cruise Captain.

We've planned a relaxed mix of dockside gatherings, a hearty Saturday breakfast, a club dinner in town, and opportunities to explore Kingston. Come for the weekend or join us for a meal or two!

⚓ Friday, November 13 — Welcome to Kingston!

1:00 PM onward — Arrivals and Docking

Our NYCE fleet will be gathered along the Port of Kingston guest dock. Registered boaters should use their assigned slips and check in with the marina upon arrival. Blue Heaven will be available to assist arriving cruisers and will monitor the marina on VHF channel 65.

4:30–6:00 PM — Dockside Happy Hour (Tentative)

Ease into the weekend with a casual waterfront gathering. Bring your favorite beverage, a snack to share, and some good sea stories!

An Exciting Alternative: Friday with Kingston Cove Yacht Club!

We're exploring the possibility of joining our friends at Kingston Cove Yacht Club (KCYC) for their Friday evening clubhouse social, beginning at 5:00 PM. If arrangements come together, we'll coordinate a selection of heavy appetizers to share while enjoying the KCYC bar and the company of our fellow yacht club members.

Friday's gathering location and food arrangements will be confirmed before the cruise.

Dinner on Your Own (DOYO) afterward. Explore Kingston's restaurants or enjoy a quiet evening aboard.

Saturday, November 14 — Breakfast, Exploration & Club Dinner

8:30 AM — Morning Coffee & Commodore's Big Dockside Breakfast!

Start the morning with hot coffee, fresh air, and good company.

Come hungry! Your Cruise Captains will provide the eggs, bacon, and oatmeal, along with hot coffee to get everyone going.

Contributions of fruit, pastries, oatmeal toppings, breakfast meats or other grillables, and breakfast favorites are always welcome.

We'll also take a few moments to recognize and thank those who have served in our nation's armed forces.

11:00 AM–3:00 PM — Explore Kingston at Your Leisure

Spend the afternoon enjoying the charm of Kingston, all within an easy walk of the marina!

• Stroll the Waterfront: Take in the views of Puget Sound, watch the ferries come and go, and enjoy the waterfront parks and marina.

• ️ Discover Downtown: Browse local shops and boutiques for unique finds and perhaps a little early holiday shopping.

• ☕ Relax in Town: Settle into a cozy café, grab a bite to eat, or enjoy a leisurely afternoon with fellow cruisers.

• ⚓ Enjoy the Fleet: Stay aboard, visit neighboring boats, get through some ship's work, or simply enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the dock.

No formal afternoon activities are planned. Explore at your own pace, enjoy the company of friends, and make the weekend your own!

4:00 PM — Dockside Happy Hour

Gather for a beverage and share stories from the day's adventures before heading into town for dinner.

️ 5:30 PM — NYCE Club Dinner at Kingston Ale House!

We've reserved space for our group at the Kingston Ale House for a relaxing evening of good food and fellowship.

Enjoy your choice from the restaurant's varied menu, including seafood, burgers, and other pub favorites. Gluten-free selections are available.

The reservation is currently planned for approximately 16 people, so please indicate your dinner participation to the Cruise Captain to help us finalize the headcount. Each diner is responsible for their own meal and beverages.

After Dinner — The Evening Is Yours!

Enjoy Kingston nightlife, continue socializing, or return to the marina for a quiet evening aboard.

☕ Sunday, November 15 — Coffee & Fair Winds

8:30 AM — Morning Coffee and Light Breakfast

Join us on the dock for coffee, bagels, and whatever goodies remain from the weekend.

By Noon — Departures

Exchange farewells, make plans for the next adventure, and head home with good memories and perhaps a few new friendships.

⚓ How to Join the Cruise

⛵ Boaters: Register through the NYCE website under Veterans Day Cruise to Kingston. We have a group moorage arrangement at the Port of Kingston, with slips assigned to registered vessels. Contact the Cruise Captain if you're interested in joining the fleet and haven't yet arranged moorage.

Ferry-Ins & Drive-Ins: No boat? No problem! Come by ferry or car and join us for the social gatherings, breakfast, and Saturday club dinner. Please register as a Drive-In so we can include you in meal planning.

Crew Matching: Would you like to crew aboard a member's boat, or do you have room for an additional crewmember? Contact Commodore Richard Servance, and we'll see what we can arrange.

Suggested Items to Bring: Warm layers, rain gear, your favorite beverages, a breakfast or appetizer contribution, and your name tag.

And, of course, bring your sea stories and a sense of adventure!
